Woodman and Johnson: Junging it Up!
I've finished 3 of the 4 required books for my awesome (at least, I'm assuming it will be awesome) Embodied Wisdom course that begins on Monday. Today I finished Marion Woodman's Leaving My Father's HouseLeaving My Father's House and read Robert Johnson's The Fisher King & The Handless MaidenThe Fisher King and the Handless Maiden from start to finish. It was only 100 pages with lots of white space, so not as exciting as it sounds.
Andy Rooney on Women Over 40
In case you missed it on 60 Minutes, this is what Andy Rooney thinks about women over 40:
Woodman: I have a crush on Mary Hamilton
I'm almost halfway through Marion Woodman's Leaving My Father's HouseLeaving My Father's Houseand while I began it almost two months ago, I re-started it with my trusty pencil to make sure I didn't miss anything. My practice is to highlight with underlining, stars, and brackets anything that catches my eye. Every so often I will make little notes in the margins if something 'tweaks' me.
Pullman: The Golden Compass (Film)
The family and I (minus the youngest) are currently watching The Golden Compass. We made it about halfway through on Monday night, and will hopefully finish it off tonight. I find it occupying too large a portion of my thoughts and it is the subject of daemons that I want to get off my mind and on to paper.
OSHO: Moving to a New Vision
Three days in a row – three meditation session guided by the insights of my OshoOsho deck. Today's spread grew of its own accord to four cards, two from the right and two from the left:
Right
7 of Fire: Stress
10 of Water: Harmony
Left
XII: New Vision (Reversed)
10 of Rainbows: We Are The World
In Need of a Reading Binge
I am. Desperately in need of a reading binge. There was quite a span for me where I could not find anything on my shelves that interested me – I would scan but nothing was of interest. At least not enough to actually take the time to read.
Osho: Today's Draw is All About the Mind
It's official, the pain from the car accident is no longer affecting my Downward Facing Dog pose, and today's yoga session went just swimmingly. Very happy about that.
New Books by Muscle Testing
I got to the Chapter's, assembled my happy stack of books, started to weed out which ones I wanted and then realized that I'd forgotten my gift cards at home.
Ack! Yes. It was one of those days. The kind of day when I am tempted to get back into bed, have a nap, and then pretend when I wake up that it is a new day and nothing has happened.
Rubin: The Happiness Project
I'll have to add this to my list of books to read. According to the article, Rubin took a year to learn how to be happy and each month had a different task.
