Merry Imbolc
Merry Imbolc!!
Also? St. Brigid's Day, Candlemas, Groundhog Day, and probably a whole swack of other celebrations designed to lift our eyes to the light in the dark time of the solar cycle (in the north). It's one of my favourite days of the year!
Normally, I get the urge to purge and clean and make my home sparkly for a re-dedication and a welcoming of the light, this year, not so much. I did tidy a bit because, honestly, it was too disastrous to sage in good conscience but there are still hours of cleaning that could be done.
And I know and I trust that it is all good and that the most high God/dess is not sitting up there judging me for the broken pretzel bits on the floor (oh yes! I see them there…) but loving me for the progress I have made.
For the messes I have cleaned up over the past year.
For the service I have delivered.
For the projects I have created and nurtured to completion, and for those still in development.
For the lives I have helped to transform.
And for the love I have extended to others.
Today is a day to light a candle and reflect on all the ways in which you are grateful for one more trip out of the darkness and into the light.
Blessings to you on this beautiful February day.
